The elementary department subscribes to the philosophy of promoting educational excellence to produce tomorrow’s value-oriented citizens with high academic standards.
Green Fields Integrated School, elementary department, provides students with a strong academic foundation not just as preparation to secondary education but for lifelong learning, as well. A comprehensive education is designed and implemented by knowledgeable administrators and teachers to ensure successful growth and development of the whole child guided by K-12 curriculum as mandated by the Department of Education. The age range of pupils who attend elementary school, kindergarten to grade six, is from five to eleven or twelve.
Following the enhanced Department of Education’s learning competencies under K-12, the elementary school curriculum, provides work in the educational basics–reading, writing, arithmetic, science, social studies, health, music, arts and crafts, and physical education. Before the end of the school year, students have their music recital. An important part of the elementary curriculum is socialization with peers and the creating of an identification of the child with the school, community, and nation. The curriculum aims to provide a comprehensive, challenging, integrated, and sequential curriculum which provides meaningful and rigorous learning experiences for all students.
